Our family lost our dog Yummy a week before Christmas. He was only 8 years old. He was diagnosed with severe liver failure on Saturday, Dec 15th and we were told he would have a few months to live. God had other plans though. On Sunday he got worse. He could barely stand, and just kept having seizures..We took him back to the vet on Monday and learned he had a stroke on Sunday. Our vet said there was nothing he could do anymore. So we had to put him to sleep.
Our Yummy was a sweet dog. He was loud and grumpy, but he was the best dog. He loved Cris, my daughter, more than life itself. His entire life revolved around her coming home and sitting in her lap. I always knew when there was someone at the door before they rang the bell - his loud bark let everyone know. There were time when I wanted to wring his little neck for all the mischeif he got into - but I would gladly clean up all his messes just to have ahim back . I miss him so much. I still expect to see him troting into my room looking to get belly rubs and a massage.
